Dear Parents, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the families and community of Viridian Elementary. For the past 21 years, I have had the privilege of being in education having experienced many wonderful years as a classroom teacher and administrator. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education in Administration from The University of Arkansas, Little Rock. In 2004, I received my Doctorate in Education Administration from The University of North Texas. In 2002, I joined HEB ISD as an Assistant Principal at Wilshire Elementary. This was a unique opportunity for me to be a part of the initial implementation of the Suzuki Strings and Core Knowledge Pre-K programs at the campus. I am still in awe every time I hear students play a Suzuki Strings concert. For the last nine years I have proudly served as the Principal at both Donna Park Elementary and Stonegate Elementary. It has been very satisfying helping students and staff accomplish their goals! From a personal standpoint, I am proud to be a native Texan and have lived in the HEB ISD community since 1999. My family and I currently reside in Hurst. My husband, Lee and I were high school sweethearts and will celebrate 23 years of marriage this year. Lee graduated from the University of North Texas and is Vice President of Lockton Companies, a national insurance broker, where he works as a Risk Management Consultant. My daughter, Carly, will be going into 6th grade this year and my son, Jack, will be a 2nd grader. It is so much fun watching them grow and participate in a variety of sports and activities. We are supporters of UNT football and will attend all home games this year in Denton. Go Mean Green! We also enjoy spending time with family at Lake Holbrook in east Texas. The memories are priceless! Now it is time for me to begin the exciting new endeavor at Viridian Elementary. I am looking forward to becoming engrained with the Viridian community, and am excited to meet each and every family. Viridian Elementary is a wonderful campus with unique and innovative programs that any principal would be proud to be associated with. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you to provide the best possible education to our children.
Warmest Regards, Dr. Aungelique Brading
