Elementary and Secondary Education

Higher Education
Tarrant County College is a two year community college serving Tarrant County, Texas and providing degree programs toward an Associate of Arts, an Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Arts in Teaching. TCC is ranked as the sixth largest in Texas among community colleges and universities with student enrollment for credit hours of one trillion. Two of TCC’s five campuses are in close proximity to Viridian, the Northeast Campus at Hwy 183 and Loop 820 and the Southeast Campus on Hwy 360 south of I-20.
The University of Texas at Arlington is a Tier 1 four year university with a student population of approximately 33,000 and is currently the second-largest institution within the University of Texas System. UTA is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a high research activity institution and offers 80 baccalaureate, 74 masters, and 31 doctoral degrees.
